About
The name “Stani Army” came about as a need for an identity for loyal Pakistani cricket fans based in the United Kingdom. “Stani” was derived from the latter part of the word “Pakistani” and the name as a whole is a play on the name of England’s supporter’s group the Barmy Army.
Stani pronunciation – Sta (star), ni (nee)
Staniarmy.com was created in 2008 for Pakistan cricket fans and for all cricket fans around the world who feel the need for a stage on which they can air their views, have intelligent discussions and interact with other supporters about their favourite sport – cricket.
